To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download ankle fusion experiences? like Linda, I too was in a car accident that really messed up my right ankle. I had an irreversible dislocated ankle that required surgery and three pins to keep it in place. I have lost complete side to side movement of my ankle and have minimal front/back movement. I have lost cartlidge under the talus bone which means I have bone rubbing on bone. The Dr. says that I will need an ankle fusion. Anyone who has also been told this and has done any research knows that this is a long recovery and a hairy desion. I too have not had this surgery done yet because I too have three small children and need to find the right time in my life to do this. The Dr. said that the surgery is a must, it just depends on how long I can deal with the pain before I deside to have it done. My question to anyone is… Does it really releive all the pain, what is recovery like, and is it worth it to have your ankle “fused” together??
