So many feelings came back reading these stories. I had the surgery some years back and had forgotten how down I felt about not being “normal” like the other kids. Only my immediate family knew about my feet and like other families they said it wasn’t a big deal but they just didn’t understand.

Hi, I am 22 years old and i just had my second surgery for bone correction. From the time i was about 13 years old I experienced severe embarrassment from my two short fourth toes. I never knew of anyone else who had them and always thought I was the only freak out there. Nobody in my family had it.

i had a short 4th toe on my right foot for as long as i could remember and was very self conscious. i wouldn’t show anyone my feet, not even my family. as i got older it become more painful to wear shoes so me and my mom decided to see what i could do to fix it.
