My 11 year old daughter was diagnosed with Brachymetatarsia at 4 years old. Her third and fourth toe of each foot are short and she is in constant pain. She has developed bad callusus under the ball of her foot and her big toe is curving in due to weight distribution problems. She has been in custom orthotics for a while but, they do not help with the pain. We had to wait until she was about done growing to consider surgery and it is almost time. Unfortunately she has it in her hands too and she hates it! Her doctor said he has never seen two toes like that on each foot before and never seen it in the hands. I was wondering if anyone else had heard of this before. Comments
