Sometimes we have it easier

by: Heather on Tue, May 08 2007

I was diagnosed with CMT around the age fourteen. I am now twenty three and have trouble with walking and vague sensation in my hands. But I have discovered that sometimes people with CMT have it easier then the norm. For instance, a friend of mine had a joke lighter that shocked your hand when you lite it, he gave me the lighter hoping to get a laugh when I went to use it, but when I did I felt nothing. Thinking the lighter was broken since I didn’t get a shock, he took the lighter and lite it himself zapping his own hand. Jokes on him!!
