My life of agony with fibromyalga
by: Tina
on Fri, Sep 14 2007
Hello my name is Tina. I am a 40 year old mother of 2. I also suffer from bipolar disorder For years I suffered in pain and did not know why. I’d been through test after test as well as injections for my pain. I finally was diagnosed with fibromyalga about 7 years ago.
Since then I have not found anything that will relieve my pain. I can’t take medications that make me out of it because it makes me unable to care for my 2 children. My husband does help around the house with cooking and cleaning and homework. He still doesn’t understand my severe pain as well as my mental illness.
He has threatened to leave me because i have attempted suicide twice. I tried to o.d. to help make the pain go away. I have been placed in a psychiatric hospital many times.
Luckily, my psychiatrist realized I was bipolar and placed me on a mood stabilizer.
I haven’t been hospitalized in 3 years.
Anyway just recently my doctor tried me on another pain medication which he said helped patients with fibromyalga. I became suicidal and homicidal.
I walk around exhausted all the time. I finally am on disability but it is not enough money to help pay the bills. We have gone bankrupt as well.
I am having a tough time this week because my husband hurt himself. Guess who has to take over. Me. I am in therapy praise god. I will pray for all of you.

I was quickly diagnosed with FM, thanks to my sister’s diagnosis with Lupus, when I was 26 yrs old. I tried everything the doctors would give, anti-depressants, muscle relaxers, homeopathic remedies. I have found that when I give in to the pain and fatigue it only gets worse. I

My journey with fibromyalgia started when i was 25 years old and lived in South Carolina. I was in 2 car accidents where I was hit from behind then I fell down some steps which caused sacral strain. I had ruthless migraine muscle spasm headaches for over a year. I went to chiropractors, doctors, had x-rays and brain scans.
