Shrapnel injured

I tripped an “IED” in Vietnam. I still carry 36 fragments in the bones and soft fissue of my right foot…I’ve received treatment for years. I am now in therapy attempting to get some flex in my right toes several of which which were blown completely off, and sewn back on in 1867. The foot has always been a problem for me, but after many years, I’ve learned to live with it….I am getting some fair relief this time in Physical therapy due to the efforts of a wonderful therapist, in an outpatient therapy clinic here in San diego…she has helped me with ultra-sound treatments, and exercises to get my toes to flex. Pain relief has been good, and I’m walking better. I’ve had 7 surgeries to remove fragments from this foot from 1967 to 1999. This is the first time I’ve gottens some relief.
