- Infection after Neuroma surgery - by GT - (Fri, Oct 12 2007)
I had a surgery in May, 2007. Got infected and was put on antibiotic.
Second surgery to “clean up infection” in August. Put on Cipro 500mg 2x day.

I had surgery 2/06 - was okay for a while until I had to wear closed shoes all the time in the early fall again. Went back to Podiatrist in 10/06 and started getting the alcohol shots (7 total a week apart) which gave me some relief.

I was diagnosed with this about 2 months ago. I found out my being flat footed doesn’t help. I didn’t know about the chiropractic part of it. I was taking Naproxin and I must advise this: DON’T take it!!!! Its horrible stuff. I got so sick from it.

morton’s neuroma can be treated by a chiropractor who has training in active release therapy. I had no other treatment except this.

I was diagnosed with Morton’s neuroma in both feet this past May. The podiatrist I saw gave me two painful cortisone shots. At first them seem to work and then the pain came back with a vengeance even though I took a break from my intense workouts and changed all my footwear.
