To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Great results with neuromas I have had 5, yes 5, neuromas removed in the last 10 years. The most recent was a month ago - also the largest (size of the Dr.’s thumb!). They have been in 4 different locations (one grew back). I am sorry to hear of others bad surgical results. My first 2 I tried cortisone shots, different shoes, etc., with no lasting relief. At which point I opted for surgery. As with any surgery, there was pain, but generally bearable (I hate pain pills), and easing off after the first week. i am a teacher, and several were done during the school year - I only missed 2 weeks. yes, there is a numb spot between my toes after the surgery, but MUCH easier to deal with than the pain. No real pain for walking, although I wouldn’t want to get stepped on! good luck! Unfortunately, they can grow back, and no one seems to know why I get them. Comments
