To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Plantar Warts My daughter recently developed a plantar wart on the bottom of her foot. She is only 8 years old. She competes in ice skating and the wart became painful during skating. There are so many “home remedies” or “old wise tales about warts. This one I had never heard of. Some of the other mothers told me to place duck tape over the wart and leave it there. The only time we removed the tape was if it were to come off or begin to roll. Within a few days, I noticed that seeds of the wart were beginning to surface. Eventually, the entire wart was gone. Supposedly, the lack of oxygen to the wart is what caused it to die off. The seeds were actually surfacing, looking for oxygen. Due to my daughters age and her skating, I am pleased that we tried this before having the area burned off, leaving holes and scars. Comments
