my 11 year old plantar wart is finally gone!

I am 22 years old and I have had a plantar wart on the ball of my foot for the past 11 years. In the beginning, I tried everything. I slept with a slice of potato on my foot, duct tape, salicylic acid…nothing worked. It hurt more when I treated it so I eventually gave up and decided to just live with it.

I started doing track in High School and the plantar wart began to get more painful. I decided to see a podiatrist and take one more crack at it. He surgically removed it. Extremely painful, and it came back almost immediately. Again, I gave up.

Over the past few years it has had a growth spurt and become a huge mosaic wart with about 5 satellite warts. I researched online and discovered the pulsed dye laser treatment. I started the treatment in September and I have been going every two weeks. The treatment is painful, but it works! I have absolutely no pain anymore and all that’s left is a small scar, probably from all the abuse I’ve put it through over the years. I definitely recommend this treatment over any other!
