Diabetes (type 1) and RA

by: Patricia on Thu, Feb 21 2008

My husband was dianosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 16. Even though I knew he would most likely pre-decease me, I had know idea the stress on our marriage would take (for example, we can’t have children due to the ups and downs of his blood sugar).
He also has gastropareis which does not help with keeping his blood sugar under control.
Last year, at 41, he was diagnose with RA and is in pain almost constantly. I am at the end of my rope trying to figure out how to help him. He can’t take prednisone, because his blood sugar goes very high. Anyone with suggestion? I would be very grateful.
Thank you
