rsd and nerve blocks

hi, my name is kathy and I am 56 years old. I was in a car accident last year where i severly injured my hand. I had hand surgery on 11/15/06 and after the surgery i was in severe pain, swollen, redness, sweating, and my fingertips were blue. the hand surgeon seemed to blow me off when i kept complaining about the pain. so i sought the help of a pain management doctor who diagnosed me with rsd and suggested stellate ganglion nerve blocks in a series of three two weeks apart. I had my last of the series on 4/4/07 and there has been a big improvement, but my wrist and hand is still weak and I have to undergo intense physical therapy The only block that was a little painful was the third one but now I am feeling okay.
Update 5/20/07:
About 3 weeks after the last ganglion block, my hand started to shake and my left arm became very weak. I am now scheduled for a series of stellate ganglion radiofrequency burns.

In Nov 2002 I tripped and fell on my open left palm, which caused the lower forearm bone to slip up and sliced off my elbow. I had to have open reduction surgery with and 2 screws, then put in a half cast.

I have RSD (reflex symothetic distofy) in my knee. When i first got it, it didn’t bother me too much so i didn’t think anything of it! There was only a little bit of pain, enough to bother me. Well when it started to get worse my mother took me to the doctor and they 1st thought i had a disease called Lupus!

in March 2005 I was diagnosed with RSD that had followed a work related injury of RSI. I underwent 2 DeQuervain’s operations one on each wrist, the followed by 10 stellate ganglion blocks non of which gave me great releif.

hi im nancy and im 24 yrs old, 6 months ago i was in a car accident where i fractured my (L2) spine a month after i started getting numbness in my right arm and sweating alot from my right arm pit and palm, my right hand was turning blue and the pain is very painful.
