sesamoid fracture

I have fractured the right lateral sesamoid bone. I am unsure exactly how this occured I believe it happened over a period of time in a Spin cycle class and also wearing extremely high boots. I wore a modified boot for three months and it did not heal. I had a bone scan which proved that it was in fact the sasamoid bones that were causing pain. I am in week two of a removable cast after having a hard cast for three weeks. I have been on crutches for 5 weeks now. After the first cast came off it seems as if it has started healing. I find out on the 25th of April..surgery is scheduled for May 3rd but will be cancelled pending the outcome of my next appointment,,,i’ll write more after the next diagnoses I am keeping my fingers crossed!!
