To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download sesamoid fracture This is the second time I have fractured the bone. The first occured after my 1st child was one years old. The only explaination was pregnancy weight and loss of calcium. I spent 4 mos. in a walking cast the first time. I am now entering the 4 month mark after baby #2. It only took 4 months this time to re-fracture. I don’t like wearing shoes, but I will from now on, since the time between fractures was 3 years. I am 37 now, but had a bone scan a few years ago and my bones are fine. I am now experiencing major hip pain from the unevenness from the cast. I had a short boot on for a few months, which had a shorter heel and my gym shoe was fine to wear with it. But the taller, more mobilizing, boot is causing me back and hip pain, so I wear a thick heeled slip on the other foot to raise me up. This is very frustrating and if it does not heal, my doctor suggested surgery. That is not something I would prefer. I wish there was a miracle cure. I have read about colostrum and healing of the body. I have tried it, but it gives me stomach upset. My doctor said I can start resistance exercises to build up the muscle around the bone. I guess, I can’t have anymore kids. Joking. Comments
