My son and his young wife ( aged 25) were married one month when she was diagnosed with non hodgkins lymphoma. It was a total shock. Treatment started within a week and they were told they may not be able to have children. The treatment was chemo followed by radiotheraphy. After a year she went into remission. In Nov 2007 ( two year after her diagnosis) she gave birth to a healthy little girl. So i would say its a tough road but miracles do happen.
